The contest to find a slogan for the Chaves County Health Council is ready for people to vote on the ideas suggested.
The 10 prospective slogans have been posted to an online survey, and area residents are asked to vote on a favorite by Oct. 15. The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5LCJ5MK.
The Health Council plans to use the winning slogan on T-shirts that will be sold to raise funds for the organization. The person who submitted the chosen slogan will receive a $25 gift card.
Jennifer Smith, coordinator for the Health Council, said that the slogan contest is also seen as a way to encourage people to join or become involved with the group.
The Health Council gets part of its funding from the state. It is one of about 40 regional and tribal councils in New Mexico established by the New Mexico Legislature to address community health needs.
The volunteer group meets at least once a month to communicate, network, collaborate, and implement approaches to improving and promoting the physical, mental and social well-being of all people in Chaves County. Full credits Roswell Daily Records.
